leupold varxIII for a rem700 is this good enough?

hey i am going to buy this, but i just want to hear some pros/cons of this

I have a used very good/excellent condition Leupold Vari-X III 4.5-14x50mm AO, matte, fine duplex, 1" tube. There are a couple of ring marks on the tube from the previous owner. I will include a box, Leupold felt, papers, Butler Creek eyepiece flip-up cap and Leupold Alumina flip-up threaded objective cap. These scopes are $570-600ish new. $350

the first user had a 30-06 and maybe a few hundred rounds, and the 2nd user had a 308 if i recall correctly.

does the amount of rounds effect how long it will last or the performance of it? is the warranty transferrable? he said the lens was good, only rings marks and i have a day or 2 to look it over.

You can't go wrong with a 14X VXiii for $350. So long as the scope isnt damaged, its a good deal.

i have a few days to look it over, what should i look for when it comes in? clarity, function, etc

A Leopold scope is like a Craftsman tool. The warranty will be honored no matter who owns it. I like Nikon products better but Nikon's warranty is only to the original purchaser. Leopold's warranty is the best in the business. Many people buy Leopold products for this single reason.

but do i need the original box, warranty card, original recipt or any of that other junk that no one does, hahah or at least stuff i never do

No, you do not need any of that stuff. All you need is the scope. I have heard stories of people finding busted Leoppolds at yard sales. They bought them, sent them to Leopold, and Leoplod sent them a new or refurbished scope.

i need help finding a base and 1" rings

i heard leupold are good, i want black matte, but 1 piece 2 peice, low, medium, high, wtf

can someone clear this up forme, i need to order aspa to make sure they come in by friday.

this will be for the leupold and the rem 700 VS

Personally, I like one piece bases on bolt action rifles. Some people like a two piece base because it is a little bit easier reching your hand into the action to load a single round/remove a round. I like Leopold and Burriss bases and rings.
