I just picked these two up, holy crap are they fast. Not your average PepBoys toy. They both have a stage 3 hypo kit. That is a K&N air system with risers on the carb. Tuned exhaust, restricters removed and a timing key installed that advances the timing by 10* My son is a 200 pounder and the blue one will lift the front wheel off the ground at take off. It will also climb to almost 55mph. The faster it goes the more the front end comes up. You end up laying across the bars to keep it down. The green one smokes it off the line but only tops out at around 40 mph. I was woundering if anyone here has one of these little rockets that have been souped, and would you share what has been done. Of course your post isn't any good without a picture. Hell I'm almost 60 years old and these things are a blast to ride.http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e232/jlazyh/DSCF1146-1.jpg

I hope you don't ride those on the street. I've almost hit kids riding them on the street. Adults hopefully know better.

my brother has a Blata 2.5. It's a real mini moto. By that I mean, like you said "not your average Pep-boys" mini. They are the european (Blata is Czech IIRC) ones that are raced. Plus it is the "mini" one, not the "midi". As in only about a foot long and your but is only 6 inches from the ground. It weighs 35lbs, has to run pre-mix 2 stroke gas with race quality oil, has an expansion chamber and disc brakes. I can carry it with one hand and has done a car speedo verified 35mph with my brother on it (he was around 250lbs. at the time).

here are some pics

That little rocket is sweet.http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e232/jlazyh/f17ea873.gif
What did that set him back. I have over $700 each in my two. His being an import must have run a bunch. Have you taken it for a spin?

Hey, I'm epsylum's brother. I paid $700 for it from a Snap-on tool dealer, who I had bought a lot of tools from and who had no idea what they were worth (at the time they went for $1200). Yeah it runs pretty good, but there are MUCH faster ones avalible. Smoked ALL the "pep-boys" bikes (cruiser and sportbike styles), and all the neighborhood kids scooters and go-karts. One kid blew his kart up racing me. I felt bad, so I offered to help him fix it and give it a decent tune, but he was a smartass and told me he could do it himself (that's why it seized up the first time, oh well). I will say that I've wrecked it several times, and so have my friends on theirs, so BE CAREFUL, THEY WILL BITE. Once something goes wrong (i.e. small rock, slight dip, etc.), there's no recovering. Pavement city.....

Here's some faster ones: (copy and paste)

I know a chick who races minibikes and 50-cc bikes. The way she threw these things back and forth on the go-kart tracks...it's sexual!
