I used Loc-Tite on the front sight, and more particularly on the threads of the 3/16 inch screw. Should I use Loc-Tite anywhere else?
The rear sight has a set screw. Do I also need to use (or should I use) Loc-Tite on the rear sights? If so, where should the Loc-Tite be located?
I have noticed that Loc-Tite doesn't seem to dry overnight--except where it's compressed.
I had to reinstall the Big Dot on our G19, as it came loose after the gun shop installed it. I soaked the site and nut in denatured alcohol to remove any skin oils, and reinstalled it, applying Loc-Tite
to the screw threads.
Upon tightening the nut down, the Loc-Tite spread beneath the nut and bottom surface of the slide, which I'd also cleaned with alcohol.
Within seconds that sucker tightened up!
I let it set overnight and the excess Loc-Tite came off with a Q-tip.
600+ rounds later, it's stuck tight.

If you have a set screw on your rear sight for adjustment then just use the blue loctite. Use red on the front sight.

I use red on all threads.
In a pinch, I've had good luck using a drop of Judy's nail polish in place of Loc-Tite, in particular where you won't see it. It sets in minutes, and can be softened with a drop of polish remover (acetone), for later removal.

I appreciate the help so far. Reagarding the rear sight, where exactly should the Loc-Tite be placed? A drop on top of the tightened set screw I presume?

All you need is a tiny ammount on one or two of the threads. I use a pin to apply the loctite to only one or two of the threads and to do this I have to look through a magnifine glass.

All "Loctite" is not equal and OIL is death to the stuff in general.
Good surface prep is a must if you want it to stick and last. Isopropyl is usually good enough. Some Loctite will wick but most use "Blue" #242 as can be taken apart without heat. The pin trick as already mentioned is really the best way to go unless front is loose in sloppy oval of slide. Red #271 has an adhesive in it and will "glue" front in if necessary.
You've not mentioned which grade you're using? Rear set screw best to use purple #222 on but blue is OK also, red will require 300+ degree's heat from hobby soldring iron, etc. to remove. Vibration from recoil will eventually puke the screw out if not secured. {Slide is too hard to allow compression fit, etc.}
