Kydex holster and mag pouch group buy?

THIS IS FEELER - THIS BUY IS NOT A SURE THING

Being a glutton for punishment, I'm considering a group buy for holsters.

This post is to determine interest.

Both Sidearmor www.sidearmor.com and Comp-tac www.comp-tac.com have expressed a willingness to participate.

First rule - if we do have a group buy, badmouthing one vs the other disqualifies you. They are both top notch holsters. No need for debate. Your post indicating which route you want to go is enough.

We need at least 15-20 participants - total 30 pieces - to do this.

In other words, 15 guys getting a holster and mag pouch makes it go.
Or, 30 guys buying one or the other...

If we can get enough to buy from BOTH companies, great. Again, we need at least 30 pieces PER COMPANY.

Depending on which way we go, and CONTINGENT ON VOLUME, this is the ball park of what were looking at price wise...

Again, this buy isn't yet reality. I need to get an idea regarding interest. Anyone who absolutely wants to participate, please indicate that.

The prices are plus actual shipping, and probably $1 per order as something always comes up...

Again, if we had enough interest to do BOTH, I'd be for that. Both companies are good people with great stuff, both and support the shooting community.

Can they be non 1911 guns? I have been wanting to pick up a CTAC for a G23?

2. We would have to have enough volume to do both, but yes, if we have that volume, then I'd consider mixing and matching.

Sidearmor, it would depend on volume. They preferred to have as standadized an order as possible.

2. Mag Carrier or two for the G23 (cant decide which company but probably Comptac.

I would be in for a C-Tac and single mag pouch for the 1911. If volume requirements were met, I'd add a C-Tac for G26. (Crosses fingers).;c

I'd be in for a Comp-Tac belt holster!! If we were borderline in making the numbers I could be in for either a second belt holster or a CTAC.

I'm assuming that these would be made to order for any of the guns they make for.

Comp-Tac is first rate, nobody needs to worry about dealing with them.

As much as I like Sidearmor products, I'm a really cheap person, but could use a nice paddle for my full size.

Depends on how many actually got ordered. Could possibly expand depending on order size.

Looking at price and shipping (twice), would we save any money? For a belt holster and mag pouch, total maybe $10 after shipping, as the savings look to be around $20 total for a mag holder and belt holster.
Help me out with my math here. I don't even need another holster but I might find an excuse buy another Comp-Tac, anyway.

yes, we'll still save. Shipping to me shouldn't be all that much spread out over the 15-20 orders... and I'll ship out USPS which should be $4 or less per order.

Further, if we order enough from Comptac, we might get a little more of a discount. We have to get to 30 total pieces, but I also have a thread at THR.

If we get enough tenative interest, I'll firm up the prices at the lowest possible amount and quantify the savings. I'd guess we'd be able to save almost 20% EVEN AFTER SHIPPING but I'll have to do the math. And verify that USPS will be able to ship for what I think they will...

Deluxe settable cant for a full size 1911 and a ctac for a Glock 27.

I will open it up a bit - but want to make sure it doesn't spiral out of control. The metalform buy got close with almost 50 participants.

I'll put it together, see where we are and then open it up as far as it needs to go...

Are the Mag pouches IDPA legal type or the regular?

I'm a IPSC guy, so no idea, but if it is a kydex item comptac makes, you can order it and assume a 23-25% discount.

I know. I had to go and buy a cheap Uncle Mikes double mag pouch because my comptac wasnt legal anymore. I dont get it because I thought they were suppose to regulate all the race stuff. Comptac regular mag carriers are great for carry. Dont get it myself?
