Anyone have a bobed Dan Wesson Commander 10mm?

I really like the way they look and have been wanting a 10mm. Anyone have one yet? Heard they are new. Figure I would wait a little while to see if there are know issues.

I have a Bobtailed DW Commander in 45 and it's sweet. They make awesome guns and their 10MMs are fantastic.

I have a DW CBOB in 10mm. They aren't new but the new CZ-DW CBOBs aren't out yet making them hard to come by. It is a great gun, fit and finish, function, and looks are flawless. Have about 500 rounds through mine and the gun feels better every time I shoot it. The bobtail feels great in your hand. Get on the list for one. You will not be disappointed.;)

Whats the difference between DW CBOB and a CZ-DW CBOB? I thought Dan Wesson was just bought by CZ but still the same makers and gun? I did notice the price went up on DW in the last year or two.

Make sure you actually feel a bobtail before committing. I always wanted a bobtail but changed my mind after handling a few Ed Browns. It feels awkward and I can get a 100% solid grip on it. It feels like something is missing (there is..duh!). Everyone has different preferences but just try it out first.

+1. My eyes were saying that looks really cool. But my brain said it might feel like crap so check it out before you buy.

I checked it out and it felt great. Then I bought it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I like the way the feel as well. By all accounts they are supposed to be pretty good guns.

There isn't supposed to be much difference between the old and new CBOB except the new ones have internal extractors. If you check the CZUSA website you can read all the details.

I have both bobbed and non-bobbed 1911's. I like them both. When shooting I really can feel no difference.

Thanks guys. I will try to find someone that has one first. Maybe a gunshow or something. I also wish more companies would start making the 1911's in 10mm. Love to have a lightweight one in that caliper. Would make a great camping gun.

DenverBob got one of the first ones. He loved it. I shot it and it was really good. He has some custom work done to it also. He moved to another state, and I have lost touch with him. If you search under DenverBob, you will find his posts on it. Hiopefully, he will resurface here soon as "SomewhereelseBob".

When DenverBob got his DW 10mm CBOB he became 10mmBob. He regularly posts in the Dan Wesson folder on 1911forum.com. You might post a question there. There is also a wealth of info on all Dan Wessons there.

My experience with CBOB was horrible. I bought one new awhile ago and nothing was right. I had so much work done on it to make it smooth. This pistol uses true gov't frame with commander slide. I won't recommand it. Just my 2cent.

I also have a Dan Wesson. I love it. Its fit and finish are top notch. For some reason they get a bad rap ? When I go in a store I love to ask do you carry Dan Wesson and I always get .... oh those nah they are crap ?????

I have a CBOB and just love it. I also have three other DW's and they are awesome and just as reliable as my 9 other 1911's.
