View Full Version : Are clones allowed in this club?
Just wondering if this is strictly for CZ, or if clones are allowed?
I have an EAA (Tanfoglio) Witness in 10mm. CZ clone to be sure, but the thing is great. I wish I would have discoverd CZ's sooner.
Anyone else have a Witness, and if so where do you get goodies for them?
Actually, the .45 & 10mm Witnesses aren't CZ clones. Tangfolio came out with them before CZ, so the CZ97 is actually the clone.
I have a Witness in .45 on order. I love my CZ-75BD so almost got the CZ-97B. After careful consideration I decided there were some features of the Witness I liked better. The shorter dust cover, a little smaller grip and the price. Everybody that has them seems to like em.
If I like it I may have to get another in .38 Super.
BTW, are clones allowed in this club?;f

By no means am I any sort of offical around here, but I see no reason why the clones can not be included. All the CZ guys seem very cool, no snobs arond here! The more the merrier!
I think you will enjoy your witness, they may not have the most perfect fit and finish, but they are reliable, durable, and altogether great guns. The only real complaint I have w/my 10mm is having to hike into the next county to collect my brass. That thing really slings 'em.
Absolutely NOT!
NOW GET OUT!!!
Just kidding. ;f

me too now shoo fly!
:soap:
If we let you in you'll have to enter the Witness protection program! =P
Well here's one of my CZ's............oh yes it is!;f
When they were trying to get enough response to create the club, they stated that the clones were very much allowed.

How do you like your 10mm? I may be getting one in the near future, but would like some input first. Thanks
I hope you don't mind if I respond. I just got a 10mm full sized Witness last month. I've been shooting everything from mild to wild loads and it eats em' all. Accurate bugger too. I've been hitting good from 100'. I have a Wolf 20 lbs recoil spring on order (backordered) so I'm going light on the wild stuff until it comes in. My only complaint is with EAA itself. I ordered two additional 15 round magazines. They came fairly quickly, but are 10 round mags. EAA will not respond to my inquiries. They have blown me off apparently.

I love it, so much so I will be getting one in 10mm compact next.
I am told they are hit or miss quality wise...but mine has been nothing but perfect so far. I only have a few hundred rounds thru it, due to not having my reloading setup going yet. I personally don't care for their polymers but thats just me. I upped the recoil spring to a 20# wolff, and that is it. bang, bang, bang, bang.....
I will say the fit/finish is a wee bit lacking, but fit/finish don't affect the operation so far. The only thing I would consider a downside is the fact it throws brass into the next timezone.
Get one and enjoy,
myk
