At this time I am not an owner just yet. I am getting one though! Fear not! I am buying the RAMI 9mm for my girlfriend to carry. If I like the thing I may scoop one up and have it hard chromed. How are the P-01, Compact 75 and RAMI's holding up?

They hold up GREAT. I loose count of how many rounds some of mine have. My current stable consist of 2 PO1's,an SP01 Tactical, a 75B, and a 52. I've owned the 83, IPSC, 85, PCR,75SA, and numerous 75b's. I've never had a failure. All you have to do is change out the springs, the sooner the better, and that's about all the maintenance you'll need.

I'm new to the CZ but absolutely love it. I have about 500rds thru both my P01 and 85b. Not a single issue. I ordered a steel rod and 16 lb spring for my 85. What other springs need to be replaced?

Doug

SonnyD
02-27-2006, 16:31
TG23....I should have also added, I'm glad your getting the 9mm RAMI, the 40S&W's are a little spotty on function, but I've heard nothing but good from the 9MM's

Regards Sonny

02-27-2006, 17:14
#1384 for me

SonnyD
02-27-2006, 18:28
The only weak point I've found in CZ's are the springs. Even new the springs don't measure up. I go with Wolf. I change out the Recoil and mag springs. I've not had a bad hammer or firing pin spring, but an occasional weak extractor spring.
Recoil
Extractor
Mag
and that should do it.
they'll function fine with the originals, but they are alot more efficient with good springs

Regards Sonny

02-27-2006, 18:41
i would like #5 if possible, i love my PO1, had a rammi in 40 and had a ftf and fte, I'm sure the factory of a smith could have fixed but sold it fast, CZ produces some of the most economical and reliable pistols and long guns on the market. although not alot of people realize it......thanks Scott

Is this a fairly simple procedure? As for the member with odd numbers, lets stay with 75 rather than 75-xx.
Repost what number you two would like. Thanks

The number thing is just for fun. I too asked the same question a few months ago when I first became a memeber.

ur giving me cz envy dammit. i'll take the first wanna-be cz # available. i suspect somewhere after epsylum...

TexasGlock23
02-27-2006, 22:29
Who said we were letting wannabe's in? Guess I can't really say much though, I don't even posses mine right now. Damn out of stock stores!
Throw me a number out and it is yours. They are up to date. So choose away.

the first target is @ 100 yds. with a rifle. 16 shot fired, 16 hit.
second was the first time shooting my G23 at 7 yds. I beleive. Not the best. But I had never shot a .40 before

Jared

Yeah, it's nothing difficult for the spring replacment. Of curse the mag springs and recoil change just like a Glock or any other gun. The extractor is held in by a role pin. There are several roll pins on the CZ's but a 2mm and 3mm pin punch will take care of them all.
The extractor spring is the last one I'd worry about. Actually I wouldn't worry about any of them, it's just that they are a little weak, and everything works better with better springs. If you check out www.gunsprings.com it will give you all the spring weights and numbers that you need.

I'm not a fanatic yet, I've never even shot a CZ, but I've been wanting to get an all metal 9mm, and after reading up a lot and all the good reviews I just ordered a CZ 75B SA, it should be in next week and I will let you know if I'm a fan or not, but reserve #1975 for me.

Guy's TexasGlock23 PM'd me a while back and wanted to know if I'd take this over, and I said I would, but I never received any info. on how he was doing it! I don't have a list of everyones numbers, or feel like I have the authority to give out numbers. He got the ball rolling on this forum. Right now I guess we are in a Freeze mode, sorry for any inconvenience.
