Anybody here own one of these? How do you like them?
I know it's not as small and packable as a Kahr. It weighs about the same as the metal micro-Kahrs (i.e., MK9, MK40) or the steel S&W J-frames.
I've also heard some issues with the .40S&W versions... I'm just debating in my head whether I should get one of these or one of the metal Kahrs, if at all. I already have a J-frame.

I had a RAMI in 9mm. Purchased it July 2004. It is nearly the same size as a G26, not all that small. Offered very few advantages over a G26 and a lot of disadvantages (no night sights, no holsters, no mag extensions, etc). Plus mine apparently was a first edition and suffered from some functioning problems: fail to return to battery, rounds get stuck in magazine and fail to pop up to be feed!!! I got rid of it as I didn't have the time to work through the issues with the manufacturer as I was relocating soon to FL.
The Kahr is a smaller pistol.
Yep, you want to stay away from the Rami line... they are not as proven as their big brothers

really? I have heard other wise. And I am picking up one next week. Others please chime in.
I've had my 9mm RAMI since Feb 2005 and am very pleased with it. I've had no problems whatsoever with it. A great little gun in my opinion.
First off, the 9mm's are the way to go, the 40's can be problematic. I've not heard any problems here with the 9mm's...the first I've heard of it is in this post. Holster....anything that fits a Glock 26-27 fit the RAMI's as well as they do the 26-27. You can get extended mags with sleeves, just like the Sub Compact XD's. With the RAMI you can also carry it Cocked and Locked, and be safe. We've never had a 9mm RAMI return in the several years they've been out, and we've sold a Ton of them. The recoil on the RAMI is also a little less because of the 4oz additional weight of the steel frame over the G26. For those interested, there is a new Polymer frame RAMI out now also, if you'd like something a little lighter.

Polymer-framed RAMI? This is the first time I've heard of it. The steel RAMI weighs 25 oz. How much does the polymer RAMI weigh?
I've owned the below pictured 9mm RAMI for close to 2 years. It has never malfunctioned and accuracy is about the same as my Glock 26.
A couple of 'positives' that I didn't see mentioned, are that:
1. it can be carried cocked and locked if that's your preference
2. it has double strike capability if you encounter a hard-to-ingnite primer.
Bottom line - I sure like mine. :)

Wow, I cant wait to get it! I like those grips you have catbird. Know of a place I can get the gun hard chromed, and how much? I saw one on czforum.
Catbird, actually I did mention the Cocked and Locked, positive;)
The Poymer RAMI weighs 665g while the Steel frame weighs 723g.......I'm not sure how many grams are in an ounce, and I'm too lazy to look it up,LOL
TG23, quite a few places do hard chroming and Tripp Research is one of the Best www.trippresearch.com/chrome/chrome.htm

Sorry I missed your C&L comment. ;)
I agree with your Tripp Research recommendation; Virgil Tripp does excellent work and turnaround is typically quite fast.
