I bought a PCR a few months ago and it's definitely my favorite pistol. Great carry gun, totally reliable so far and very accurate.
A couple of weeks ago I stumbled on a Kadet Kit at Gander MOuntain for $149 and couldn't pass it up at that price. It was new but came with only one magazine. Some of this has been posted in another thread but I'll say it here for the new forum.
After reading through some posts on CZForums and CZShooters about fitting, light strikes, the slidelock, and stovepipes I started wondering if I had made a mistake buying the Kadet Kit. Last weekend I finally got to run quite a few magazines through it and all the doubt went away:
The kit fit the PCR perfectly with no filing so the fitting issue is resolved.
The slide locked back on the last round from each mag so there's no problem with that.
No failures of any kind when on the range with CCI and Federal ammo.
It's as accurate as my Buckmark. I never expected that.
When I removed the Kadet Kit to put the PCR back together as my 9mm carry gun the frame hardly showed any sign of being fired. I just put the original clean slide and barrel back on and called it good.
I'll still practice with 9mm but it's sure nice to be able to practice aim and trigger control at 22 LR prices and a lot more fun than dry firing.
