So after buying a Springfield Black Stainless
Then buying a Sig GSR Revolution I got bit by the 1911 bug again and this time in commander size
S&w 1911PD Scandium alloy frame and Crimson Trace laser Grips

I have the same pistol and like it a lot, my favorite of my 1911’s. It has become my carry weapon. It likes all ammo I have fed it, approaching 1000 rounds. I am so fond of the laser sight that I just ordered one for my Glock.

very tachtical indeed.i prefere a box stock 1911 like the colt 1991 new roll mark or better yet first run roll marks.i like my 1911s stock and flat like JMB intended they be.

How do you like the Commander Size Smith? I have the full size and love it. (was always a Colt / Kimber guy, but no more).
I have been looking at the full size or commander size in the light weight Smith 1911s. I have always had a full size 1911, how does the Commander and the light weight effect shooting. I like the idea of the lighter weight, but I will be shooting it a lot. thanks

Sky, what do you clean the top or black part of your slide on you Springfield Black Stainless PX9152L with ? Mine gets tacky after wiping it down with M-Pro7?!?!
P.S. I love the new weapon!!
