9mm, .40S&W and .357 Sig H&K compact handguns. After pricing them they run about 30 to 50 dollars more.

Larger frames, larger slides = more materials. Is it $50 worth? No way.
But, it's a common thing. GLOCK 21s are more than G31, G22s and G17s.
Part of it could be the competition (Kimber, Wilson, Colt, Springfield, etc.) are all in the $800-$1,200 range. I'd also venture to say that the .45 is the more popular USP, so basic economics say to charge as much as people are willing to pay. They'll pay that much for a .45, but not for a 9mm.

 The only thing I would change about H&K's is the Cost! They are in business to make money! Have fun & stay safe!;z

Thanks for your responses!
Remember ... there's no such thing as a free lunch! HK knows that, too.

Are HKs worth the prices new? Hmmm, I don't know but I sure got an excellent deal on a used one. I've purchased my last five handguns used and saved almost a $1,000.00. Get a used HK .45acp and you'll save a bunch.

Glock 45s are the same. The only gun that doesn't get a mark up because of the magical .45 number is the SIG P220 or P245.
