What type of sights do you have on your shotgun? My Mossberg came with a front bead, but I ended up switching it out for ghost rings (beads don't work for me).

Dalton Wayne 03-03-2006, 08:56 I just keep the front bead on my Mossberg 590 jmb79 03-03-2006, 10:32 Trijicon (aka Wilson Combat) ghost ring sights with front and rear tritium. charlisity 03-03-2006, 11:52 I just have the hi-viz front sight in orange. DiverDn 03-03-2006, 15:03 This one from truglo. It came with about six light pipes and is easy to pick up. http://www.truglosights.com/content/prod_long_gun_sights/glo_dot_2.asp Little Thomas 03-03-2006, 15:46 My 870 just has the plain jane rifle sighted 20 inch barrel. I do want to upgrade at some point. I have a surefire on the shotgun, so the ghost ring, glow in the dark, heads up display will have to wait.Doesn't mean I don't want all of the above, just haven't bought it yet. glockmeister71 03-04-2006, 02:58 I'm going to order one of the Big Dot fronts from www.xssights.com for my 870 sometime this week.I think a front only is more pratical for HD use.I still hit good out to 25yds with the factory bead. Grim Jackal 03-04-2006, 03:08 I went with the Wilson Combat Ghost Ring sights as I like to shoot slugs from time to time. UrbanCowboy 03-07-2006, 12:11 I am keeping the bead on mine. Since it is for HD only and I am not shooting slugs I see no reason to add rifle sights. With the Surefire forend, the bead is easily visible in the dark with the light on. zzzarkt 03-07-2006, 16:03 Standard rifle sights on my 20" barrel. Oh, and one of these (link) (http://www.lasermax.com/products/lms-1202.php) too. It's freakin' sweet. I'll be putting a report up about it one of these days. Opie 1 Kenopie 03-08-2006, 09:06 Scattergun Technologies' "Trac-Lock" ghost ring in rear and tritium blade up front. The perfect smoothbore setup! -Opie vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
