Clunking Noise On Gran Prix Front?

70,000 miles

we hear a clunking sound coming from the drivers side front wheel area when we turn the wheel to the right sometimes. Funny thing is, it seems to do it once, then won't do it again until you start the car again and go for a drive...very intermitent.....any ideas?

I'd say it's the begining of the end for the cv joint.
