View Full Version : help me out Px4 vs 90TWO
What gives.i thought the Px was the new milinium beretta taking the tourch of the 92fs into the 3rd milenia.then i see this cool looking modernized 92fs called the 90 two.very cool but where dose that leave the Px?
in my holster, as it should be ;)
the 90-two is pretty slick. I plan on getting one as soon as they are released.or a short time afterwards.

They're very different pistols. The PX4 is polymer and a lot smaller. Each will appeal to two different groups. I think both will do well.
It seems to me that the new 90TWO is just Beretta's attempt to revive/freshen a dying product. And, by dying I mean; in terms of sales up against more modern designs.
Don't get me wrong, I love the pistol, but let's also face it; it's an old pistol (first designed in the early 1950's) and the competition is getting stronger and stronger each passing day. Which, for us the consumer, is a wonderful thing.
Let's also face it, the PX4 is Italian made, the 92/96/90TWO is American made (I presume in the case of the 90TWO, since I haven't seen one, but the point is the same.) and the factory and tooling should be paid off by now. So, any minor alterations cost very little compared to the building of a completely new pistol. So, in essence, the "new" gun is extremely profitable to build. And, it keeps the American factory running.
The 90-TWO is Beretta's "premium" pistol. I think they listened to lots of input before they built it, hence all the improvements they made. In actuality the PX4 is a Cougar with a polymer frame and a little better trigger, it will be there profit maker. There isn't much about the 90-TWO that's left from the original 92.

I like the PX4, has anyone shot both the 9mm and 40? any comments?
As much as I don't really care for the looks of the PX4, mostly because I love the 92/96's so much, and have stated before I probably woudn't own one. I messed around with one the other day, but didn't shoot it because it was new........that thing had one heck of a nice TRIGGER!!! I may have to recant now and buy one.

at first i liked the px4 .the more i read and see it the less i like it.correct my friend an updated couger.bla!
on the other hand.at first i thought the 90 two was a last gasp of the 92f.maby so but what a last gasp.that thing its extreamly polyindustrial .too cool.i what one more than the px4.

Regards Sonny What are the differences between the 90two and 92f?
Well, you'll have to click on the link that's in my post and look and read about the 90-two, and then compare with the 92. things like, grips, rail, trigger guard.
