Shot my new to me S&W 1911 yesterday..

First thing I did when I got it was take that stupid FLGR out of it and put a GI length rod into it. This thing shoots great, accurate and no failures. My Colt Delta Elite has a new buddy.

Awesome! I've been eyeballin' the S&W 1911's. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the FLGR. (flame suit on) Never really had any failure related problems with the standard guide rod and plug.
