So I picked up a very sweet USPf in .45 the other day. Great price.
It's date coded '98.
When I compared it to my (then) NIB USPf .40 date coded '95, I noticed a different hammer.
The .40 has a hard, polymer type hammer, just like you'd find on every gun. The newer, but used, .45 has what feels like a hard rubber hammer. It's kind of tacky and a little soft, like rubber.
Is this a change HK made that I was just unaware of? Is this a polymer hammer dissolving before my eyes? Is this a replacement hammer?
In short: What up, yo?
