3/14 BUY IS CLOSED - INSTRUCTIONS SENT TO PARTICIPANTS

If you posted and haven't heard from me, e-mail me ASAP with "COMP TAC" as the e-mail subject.

To participate, post what you want in this thread. Once it closes, I'll contact everyone and get e-mail addresses, etc etc.

Please do not e-mail me, paypal me, etc until instructed to do so. just make sure I can contact you, i.e. your e-mail or PMs are turned on.

Go to www.comp-tac.com to see product details.

DISCOUNT IS ONLY FOR KYDEX STUFF, not OC, hats, shirts, etc.

Pricing - 25% off, round UP to the next whole dollar.

PLUS

Add $1 to your order to cover shipping from comp tac to me

PLUS

Shipping from me to you will be actual cost of USPS. I just found out they still video sized boxes, so one I confirm that they are the lowest priority rate, I'll put that up. Figure $4-6. If you buy a lot, we may have to use the big box, which is $8.10.

Cost Examples -

CTAC - Factory direct - $75
Single mag Pouch - $25
Shipping from Comp Tac - $7.50

Total - $107.50

Group buy -

CTAC = $75 less 25% = $56.25, then round up to nearest whole - $57
Mag Pouch - $25 less 25% = $18.75 = round up to $19
Plus $1 for group shipping
Shipping from me to you - Figure $6 to be safe -

Total $83

About 23% savings on that example, shipped, all said and done. Could a little more or less % wise depending on how much your order.

If an individual buys a LOT we may have to use the bigger box, which is $8.10.

Again, this applies to all kydex products. Make sure you are very specific - use the factory name for the product and then specify the exact make and model of what you are using it for.

I'd like to turn this around quickly - Comp Tac has a quick turn around, so in a perfect world everyone could have their holsters 4 weeks from THIS POST.

Therefore, you must post what you want in this thread by Monday, March 13th. From there I'll collect the funds, due by Saturday, March 18th. Order will be placed March 20th.

Payment can be personal checks for established members, I prefer money orders for members with no transaction history, or paypay plus 3% for whoever. Remember you'll need to get funds in the mail by Wednesday, March 15th to be safe.

POSTING IS A COMMITMENT TO BUY!

EDITED TO ADD AN INDUSTRY SCOOP![

This is not a Comp Tac product, just waiting to be formally introduced to the market.

Tiger Mckee has designed a new, simple, and just about universal Kydex flashlight holster.

http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL827/1560122/3597617/132581942.jpg

This isn't available anywhere else... I was a beta tester and got the go ahead to offer them. They will eventually retail for at least $12.95 but you can try one out now for $9.

These hold the light horizontal to your belt. Hence, the light won't jam into your side when you do all the other things you have to do.

I have, and like, a Comp Tac flashlight holster -

http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL827/1560122/3597617/132582264.jpg

Good for many applications but the light rides high. Also, the holster is specific whatever model of flashlight you buy for.

Tiger's unit is a universal fit.

http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL827/1560122/3597617/132581941.jpg

http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL827/1560122/3597617/132581939.jpg

I have a little, ahem, extra love around the waistline and this design doesn't poke, prod, interfere in any way. It is secure and you don't even notice it getting into and out of the car.

If you carry a flashlight, or want to, can't go wrong at $9.

Fits every CR123A lithium based flashlight I tried it with - Surefire G2, E2, L2, A2, and Streamlight TL-2 and Three.

I actually don't even know the name, but if you want one with your order, just add "Tigers Flashlight Holster" to your order.

I am in for Springfield Armory TRP/Govt. 1911 (with squared off style of dust cover if they ask):

No carriers needed.
Like this, I guess-63.00-25%=47.25, or 48.00 rounded up.

25% of 25 is 5. Got it.

Hey, is the Sidearmor buy a go or a no-go? People may want to know before they commit to a Comp-Tac.

I will take a CTAC for a Glock 23 right handed and standard clips.

Thanks

I would be cautious of keeping my good flashlight in a tiger clip. I had their Miska Clip wich was basically the same thing but for OC. I loved it and carried it everyday. The problem that I had was that the Kydex would give a little over time. Just enough to make the OC to pop out when I went to sit down or bump up against something. It would push out the end. finally just threw it away. I would be upset if it was a 30 - 100 dollar flashlight. Just an FYI

I appreciate the feedback - to make it more clear, Tiger's product isn't related to Comp-Tac - just happens to be a Kydex holster. I told him about this buy and asked when these would be ready for sale, and the answer was now...

As far as lights coming out, I haven't had one do so yet in several months. When Tiger gave me one at a training class to try out, I carried a G2 at first being worried about the very issue. When that didn't manifest, I began carrying my normal A2 or E2, some of the smaller lights. Bearing against a leather belt, plus the clip, works well.

Finally, If you are using o-ring lanyard (as is on the TL-2, which is my current favorite light FWIW) then you can loop o-ring around back of light and it holds it in very well, yet will stretch enough to still pull light out when needed. Using that method you would be hard pressed to lose the light even if it snagged on something.

I'm not complaining but has anyone else who is in the group buy received payment info?

The payment window supposedly closes on 3-28 but I haven't received the payment info. I sent my email address and didn't hear anything. I sent another payment info request but that didn't help either.

I'm going to be away from my 'puter for a week and will miss out which is a shame because I was looking forward to using the gear for a class.

I'll be around for another hour and then I'm gone for a week.

Im not in a big hurry anyway. The holster was for my dad, he just sent his package out for his permit last week, so he wont be needing the holster for probably a few months. :freak:

I leave for a conference tomorrow at 5:00AM... :( but I hope to ship Monday, unless...

You ordered Tiger's flashlight holster - he and I have missed each other a few times on the final count. I finally got the count, but he is out of town and I won't have them until sometime next week.

If you ordered that and NEED your CT holster, I'll send the holster out right away and the flashlight holster when they come in.

I'll try to e-mail everyone who ordered those individually.

Thanks for participating!
