just called my gunsmith. my P-01 is ready to be picked up and they got the night sights installed OK, so i'm glad... but i'm upset that they quoted me "$35, but maybe a lil more if it's too hard to get the front sight in". i asked for my total and they said $60!!
GAH! oh well. i'll take it. see if i can ****** them down to $50

where i work, if your quote is under by more than 10%, you have to either call the customer for authorization to charge the adjusted amount, or you gotta discount them to within 10% of your original quote. by that standard, i shouldnt have been charged more than $39 without my consent :( guess i'm pampered by my work rules

Is it difficult to install NS on a CZ? I am going to buy a set for my P-01 as well. I plan on doing the work myself. It doesn't seem to be complicated...unless I am not aware of something.

Did you buy the sights from him, or just give him the sights? My local shop will install sights on any gun they sell sights for, for no additional cost. They've put night sights on all of my non night sight CZ's in no more then 15 minutes and that included sighting it in on the range.

i supplied the meprolights to him. he said he'd never worked on a CZ before. turned out pretty good. i was hittin clay pigeons down on a farm yesterday from about 40-50 feet. next time i go to the indoor range i'll shoot at actual bullseyes and see what i can do with these new sights.
