Anybody have a CZ 40P?

J&G has been selling them for $300 for what I think is cheap but I hear no one talk about the 40P model.
Something wrong with this pistol?

Good guns. CZ used leftover slided from the 40B and modified them to work on the P-01 frame. I like them alot. They can take some work to feed certian types of hollow points.

That is probably the best looking CZ that I have ever seen.

Thanks I like it. It also has the best trigger I have felt on a CZ. Action job and Hardchrome by APW Coogan in FL.

I have one and for the price I thought I stole it out of the store($250) new. It is very accurate, matter of fact the most accurate 40 cal I have shot to date.
The trigger is the weakest link very gritty, but over time shooting it alot it is very good now.
I put in the FLSGR from 12 volt and replaced the mag springs with +10% wolf springs. Also got out the dremal and polished the feed ramp and all is well.
Again for the money it's a steal of a gun bar none!

I think they are Pro Mag.

Yeah, promags. They are in stock now which is rare. Pick up a couple if you like. I have had good luck with them in my 40P and as 14 round high caps for my P-01

And I thought it was a great deal at 299...
Darn thing shoots good and the quality is typical CZ excellent.
Do you guys think that plastic guide should be replaced with something stronger?

I own one and wish I had bought 2, it is the most accurate gun out of the box I have shot. The trigger pull on my gun is reasonable as it came, as it can shoot one ragged hole if I do my part well. It seems as if a lot of familure names from the "CZ gang" have shown up here, hi guys!:) , I think we and many others are dedicated gun nuts, I own 5 CZ pistols and 4 Glocks and do not plan on getting rid of any of them! I have done a bit of work on my Glocks but as yet nothing to my CZ's...just gimmme time !

Alright now that it!Now I have to get one to.But what do you all think of the 40s&w round? I have never shot the 40,cal but i have bean tolled that its not that accurate,its very snapy in recoil.Is this true? I like my two 45;s,glock,21,para,tac-four,1911.And all of my 9mm,cz-75bd,hi-power,walter,p38.I would like your opinions on the 40s&w round.

I think the .40cal round is fine. I used to have a 40P and sold it because a buddy of mine liked it (and boy, do I regret that!). As for the accuracy, I think the .40 is more than accurate enough for self-defense. The .40cal has snappier recoil than say the .45 or 9mm (compared to my P-01 and Springfield Champion 1911), but it is certainly not unmanageable. If I had more money, I would buy another 40P.

I almost bought a CZ-40P a few months back. The gun shop does have some in stock for $287, so I'm thinking about making good and picking one up.

If so, any good holster recommendations?

Mags are now back in stock. I got 4 in the mail yesterday.

I like my Cz40P so well I turned it into 3! I may give one away but will certianly keep one as a "spare".....this makes 7 40S&W pistols for me and yes they will shoot! hmmmm I think that makes me a total of 7 CZ pistols (3 CZ52's).

Now that I'm finally ready and able to pick up another 40P for socking away, my dealer sold out of them!:frown:

From the few hundred rounds I have put through it in the past couple weeks I have to say I really like the feel. It is very accurate but the only complaint is the trigger pull sucks terribly. Very long DA pull and some creep in the SA mode before the hammer drops. I will not totally be in love with this pistol till it gets a trigger and action job.

The more you shoot it the better the trigger will get;)
