New recoil spring for a PCR

My PCR has been flawless through several hundred rounds but it heaves the brass over 20 ft with Winchester Whitebox or S&B ammo. Based on my experience with my Makarov a significantly stronger recoil spring is in order. Having to pick up brass heaved off the concrete and back into the grass is a minor PITA but I'm thinking a stronger spring would save some wear and tear on the alloy frame. On the Wolff site I'm looking at stock number 43320, a 20 lb spring, three lbs up from the stock spring. Can anyone tell me if the 433 part is right for the PCR and/or give any advice as to how much to go up in spring strength? Going up two pounds didn't make much difference with the Mak and going up from 17 to 21 lbs helps some and is still totally reliable but it's a blowback action. Is a three pound increase too much for a locked breech action? The next option down is an 18 lb spring and I don't know if that will make much difference. I'd like to get this right the first time if possible.

I shot my P-01 for the first time a few days ago and had the same problem. My Beretta that I was also shooting the same day left a pile of brass a few feet away from me. The p-01 was spitting them out 10-15 yards away!

Does anyone know if the p-01/compact takes the same recoil springs that the full size 75 does?

They take a smaller spring made for the compact models. I prefer the 18 pound. 20 pound if you are going to shoot primarily +P and +P+.

Yeah, I already ordered a new recoil rod and spring from you. I believe that I chose the 18lb but I a not sure. I predict that it will help greatly. What weight is the factory spring? Is that rating accurate?
