Is it normal for the slide release on the right sight of a P2000 to be a little loose? The left side slide release is solid but the right side giggles a little. It moves freely about 1/16" up and down and if you tap on the end of it where it is serrated it will move in and out there. It actually rattles if you shake the gun.
Thanks.

From what I have read it is normal. The right side slide release is loose on my P2000sk. It annoys the hell out of me that a $700 gun has a loose piece. The one on my fullsize is not as loose but it is just a little shaky.
ever thought there might be reasoning to the madness ????
I doubt that if you have 2 different models with the same "loose" part that it is a mistake..... but I could be wrong,,,

Mine does it too. hkpro had/has threads like this. I personally HATE the fact that this happens. I don't see any other high-priced, high-quality firearms with ratteling pieces! If this is "normal" then there better be a good reason, and I haven't heard one yet.

Well I just feel that HK should fix it. Its ridiculous!

Yeah. Have fun sending it in. That's a real blast from what I've heard.
Its normal for the particular pistols and I don't think that there isn't anything that H&K will do to remedy it. The left side is directly under spring tension whereas the right side just kinda drops into the cam coming from the left side. You can always take it off if you want to by rotating it up and pulling it out while field stripping. I never use the right side catch anyway cause I'm not a southpaw.
