Cleaning rod sliding out when shooting

My cleaning rod on my SAR 1 slides out and forward when shooting. Any suggestions on how to keep it in place?

No suggestions on how to keep it in place, but the last time I fired my SAR-1, the cleaning rod also moved forward and would have probably come loose if I had kept on shooting.

Take it off the rifle. You don't need that **** rattling around when you're trying to be sneaky.

Actually, I think I could deepen the well at the top with a dremel. But taking it off is probably the thing to do.

I haven't tried it myself (no cleaning rod bracket on my Arsenal), but a slight bend at the "handle" end of the rod would probably tighten it up enough to eliminate the rattle and hold it in place. Don't bend it except near the very end, or it might not fit in the barrel anymore.
