Just held my first CZ (a 85 B) and was amazed at the egronomics and the great trigger. I am considering buying a 75 D Compact, 75C, Rami or a P01 (in that order) for CC.
What are the negatives of the each model?
What are the positives?
Any issues I should be aware of?
The Compacts are only .8" shorter, are they smaller in any other catagory?
Are all the triggers the same feel on each model?
I have been told the finish isnt very good, is this correct?
Is there a trigger difference between the regular and Decocker models?
How is CZUSAs service?
Which finsh is better blue or polycoat?
Is it hard to find holsters etc for these models?
The 85 seemed so thin in the slide(which I liked), do the other models (especially the Rami) retain this??
My first and favorite Cz is the P01. After doing some research I read that NATO did some very extensive testing on them and it passed. Went out, tried one for size and it fit great. At the range it fired extremely accurate and out of a 1000+ rds have not had an issue. I fire all sorts of ammo from 124gr WWB to 124gr Win Ranger +P to 100gr Pow R Ball. Speer gold dots are my carry ammo of choice. Mainly because is seems to have less recoil of the +P's. This is my primary carry gun at this time. I then got a CZ85B. $385.00 shipped. I always wanted a Browning HP and after some research I learned that they were very simular and almost equal except for the price. My 85B is so accurate that I surprise myself with tight groups. The finish on both is some sort of baked on paint (polycoat). It hasn't scratched or chipped. I don't think you can go wrong with either. The P01 has a decocker and the 85b has ambi safety and mag release. The SA/DA action on both is very smooth. The trigger pull on the 85b is lighter. The 85B came w/2 16rd mags. The P01 came with 10rd mags. They make 14rd mags for the P01. Seems to be a shortage, mine are on order. I prefer a 45acp for carry. Just bought a Para 12.45 LDA. 12rds of 45acp seems better to me. I've fired several rds with a few small issues. Does not have my confidence like the P01. I think you would be happy with either. There are Cz Forums. www.czshooters.com and www.czforum.com. Both may be helpful. Good Luck. Let us know your happy thoughts when you get one.

I give my vote for the 85 Combat. I think it is one of the finest and most accurate 9mm for the money on the market today. I have a polycoated one and have no issues there. If you are going to use it as a CCW, then get the compact model. If you want shoot decent groupings, then get the full-sized. Best Wishes! Pecos Bill out.
Have the P01. Balance with the alloy frame felt great and pistol fit my hand. Had to have one after that.
The 85 Compact is a steel frame without the rail under the barrel and a very (to me) different balance.
The P01 is a de-cocker only while the compact has a safety allowing cocked and locked carry.
The RAMI is a two finger short grip and is the most concealable of the bunch. I don't know if issues with the .40 cal have been addressed on them yet.
I've only ever delt with the polycoat which for a carry gun is great.
Check the CZ boards for the best information, go out and handle all of them and see which one follows you home. With any, I don't believe you will regret it.
