This bike was one of my all time favorites. Light, easy handling, it was also a good minimalist sport touring bike. It was the street version of the GS 800. Mine was a 1983. I rode it from my home in Indiana to the Pocono raceway, back when the AMA was still running superbike races there.
Those flat air cooled BMW twins were just about bulletproof.
