View Full Version : Confused about Glock sight tools
I'm considering purchase of a sight installation tool for my Glocks but am confused about which is the most versatile among different models of Glock. I see some tools are for specific models while others claim to work on all Glocks. Help!
Best bet is the tool available at www.ameriglo.com
That's the one I use.

Even ameriglo has more than one tool Danny.
Yup, they have the special tool for tall rear sights.

Which also works well for the short (original size) sights.

I don't want to pay what Ameriglo wants for their tool, but everyone else seems to be out of the MGW tool that fits the tall sights. Looks like I have no choice.
Lonewolf was supposed to be in development of a single tool that would address such things as Heinies on the large-frame Glocks (which the MGW-ST1 won't do) but haven't seen it yet. Would probably sell a few if they'll just get it to market.
Ameriglo is sold out of their GTool1 (tool for tall sights). :(
What is the deal with the supply of all sight tools drying up here lately? Weird.

glockmeister's sight tool works on all glock models.
I have a B-Square for Glocks and I've had no problem with the tall rear sights and I've used it on G17 & G20 size frame. I got mine for 45.00 a cuple of years ago at Midway.

Their catalogue says all models except G20, G21, G29 and G30
I can't find Midway or B-Square.
All I want is to deal with wide and standard sights and tall and low sights. It doesn't seem unreasonable.

Here is a link to Midway http://www.midwayusa.com/ and here is the page on B-Square sight showing the tool I have. http://secure.armorholdings.com/b-square/tools_scope.html#45
I did do a search on Midway and they don't seem to carry them any longer. You can get them right from B-Aquare but I think the price is a bit high. There must be a sight on the net that also has them. I will do some searching and if I find someone ells who has them I will post it.
Brownells has a few sight pushers, one says it's for Glocks.

I got this one from Midway:

Worked like a champ on my G23, Sig P220 and a S&W 9mm.
Nice for the price since it will work on just about any gun.
Good Luck.

I've used my Glockmeister sight pusher on every Glock frame/slide size, including G21 and G30.
