Hi. My brother recently purchased a Glock 19. Along with the Glock, he purchased an instructional video on maintenance. In the video, it specifically states do not get gun oil in the firing pin channel, so of course he managed to do so. The problem is, in the video they don't mention what to do if you do get gun oil there, so he's got a bit of a problem. He's wondering if he can just fire it and there will be no real problems or if he needs to do something specifically about this or what. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks in advance.
Spray it with gun scrubber right in the firing pin hole

Oil in the firing pin channel will collect debris from fired rounds and gum up the firing pin and firing pin saftey causing them not to function correctly. You will have to remove the slide cover plate and clean the firing pin and channel.
See this link for instructions on how to disassemble the slide.

Here is a broken down view of the slide.

Its hard to see in that picture but the spring loaded bearing will go flying when you take the back cover off the slide so point it down where it won't shoot where you can't find it.
