I have a pic and I do not have photoshop on my work computer, do any of the programs in the standard windows allow you to downsize an av?

I know that there are free programs out there, but I don't know what they are. I use Photoshop.

Here's a downsize of the image for you.

this will do what you're looking to do
free, light and easy
once you change up the image the way you want,
be sure to "save as" in My Pictures. access the
new avy from there.

The simplest method for me was to use MS Paint - do an "open with" and select Paint, go to Image>Stretch/Skew... and reduce by any given percentage. Then go back to Image>Atributes until you get it to 100x100. You may have to go between the Attributes & Stretch/Skew selections a couple times to get it where you want it.

I haven't used any of the others suggested and they may be a bit quicker, but as a standard Windows app Paint works just fine

I can't use irfan view or Paint due to me being on a Apple iMac. I don't have photoshop so could I get one of you fine people to resize my new avatar for me? I sure do appreciate it!

I agree it is the best freeware I have ever used! I have both Photoshop and Corel Draw but I use Infanview for convertions and resizing images. It runs better than Hijack!

 :hearts: :number1:

Anvil, you know you have someone who is your local Apple goodies supplier, yet you don't utilize this.

There's lots of advice on this thread and in this forum on how to resize pictures.

I went ahead and resized it for you using photoshop. To set it as your avatar, go to your User CP, click edit options. At the bottom of the page you will see where you can set your avatar. Note - you must have more than 10 posts to have a custom avatar.
