I have a quick question.. I have the G23 and when I bought it, the salesperson told me that a with a brand new gun, if you cock the slide all the way back and use the slide stop lever to spring the slide forward again without a round, that this will damage something inside the gun. Is this true? He told me that for new pistols, unless you are actually loading a round, have your spare hand to ease the slide back forward instead (after activating the slide stop lever, ofcourse). Fact or fiction?
