View Full Version : G20 jamming with Blazer ammo
I just purchased a used 3rd generation G20. It looks like new. The only ammo the gun shop had was CCI Blazer 200gr flat nose bullets with aluminum cases. Three times out of a box of 50 the gun jammed, it looked like the slide did not go back all of the way like the round was under powered for the gun. Has anyone else had this problem with this ammo. I shot about 30 reloads without a problem after that. Thanks for any info.

I just put 50 rnds of that same ammo through my new G20 yesterday with no problems. Could be the gun.

Factory recoil spring or aftermarket?
Could be the CCI is not hot enough to cycle with a heavier recoil spring.

Dead stock except night sights. Both 15 and 10 rd mags used. No problems at all.

I also fired Federal 180 gr and Winchester silver tips on this trip as well. Not a single problem--besides cold fingers!
It has the factory recoil spring.

I installed a 24# recoil spring and a 3.5# Ghost Rocket Trigger on my new G20.
Cleaned it of the factory oil and goo and then just shot 100 rds of CCI through it last week. (couldn't wait for my 1000 rd order from DT to come in). Several clips were rapid fired.
Not a glitch.
Did it fail to eject? or fail to feed?
Any chance of limp wristing it?

I Don't think I was limp wristing, I shot other brands that day without a problem. What kinds of things happened when you limp wristed yours?
