is I have a terrible time with the "trigger reach" on DA. Anyone else suffer from the short finger/big hand affliction?
Love the pistol, but don't really want to carry a DA/SA cocked & locked.
Does anyone know if there is a "short trigger", ala SIG, available?
Thanks

May I ask why?

I would rather just carry my 1911.
If a gun is capable of C&L, I don't see why it should also be DA/SA.
JMO.
Then forget it has DA, or make it SA only so it has to be C&L.
I have three CZ-75's, two of them are SA-only, I kept one DA/SA so it could be used in USPSA production div.
for all intents and purposes, I treat my 85 like a SAO. When I load the gun, the hammer is cocked, so click on the safety, as i'd rather not decock manually.

There is a shorter trigger, but it is not billed as such. The trigger from the P-01/SP-01 can be swapped into the other guns. It makes the reach about 1/8" shorter. Doesn't sound like much, but it makes it easier for some people.
Does the short trigger reduce overtravel?

Yes, there is a slight bit more meat on the back of the trigger, which reduces overtravel. I have not measured it so I don't know how much exactly. I took 2 stock 75B's, one is a Stainless with the curved trigger, the other is an older one with the standard trigger. It is noticable, the curved trigger did not go back as far after the hammer fell.
I have the same problem. When I was looking everyone said the same thing, "carry it C&L", "start with it cocked"... etc.
My feeling is I should be able to comfortably operate a gun in all modes of fire & there are plenty of guns on the market that fit me perfectly.
My problem was solved by the 40B. With the 1911 style grip it fits my hand perfect. Check one out and you may find that it works for you too.
