View Full Version : Stop slapping me...
Does anyone else have a problem with trigger slap?
I picked up a 75bd a couple weeks back and finally got a chance to take it to the range last week. A buddy put about 250rds through it and I put about 50. Both of us were having a bad time with trigger slap. Nice red marks on our index fingers.
When I rented one at the range there was no problem and another friends 75b didn't appear to have the problem. Any suggestions?
i think i had this problem with my P-01 when it was new, but the problem goes away with more rounds down range :)
what kind of ammo are you shooting?
My PCR hurts my trigger finger after awhile. I don't think it's the same kind of slap I get with my WSAR-10 AK sometimes, just recoil from a light framed pistol and a very curved trigger. My PCR has the same very curved trigger as the P-01. The original straighter trigger would probably be better but I'll probably just learn to live with it. It's a totally reliable and very accurate carry gun so I'm not going to mess with it over such things.

This anomoly has been traced down to the relationship between the trigger and trigger bar. The front edge of the trigger bar is pinned to the middle rear of the trigger. The clearence cut on either side of the front of trigger bar is slanted forward and down
and comes to a distinct point. This point may actually contact the trigger, when it is pulled fully to the rear and the slide is out of battery(as if just fired). Removing the parts and filing a clearence on both sides of the trigger bar so that they make no contact should cure the problem.
I guess I'm gonna have to try this.
