ARMORY USA/GLOBAL TRADES questions

I just purchased a Armory usa 1.6mm ufamd63 underfolder ak47 with 2 30's and a drum for 500.00 and started looking for details on line. I was unable to find any info or other models of the like out there. Does anyone in the board area have any idea about these, value, quality, etc - any info you can muster would be much appriciated - thanks

i have an armory SSR-85C-2 and have been very happy with it. It seems well made, goes bang every time without issue, and for an AK seems accurate.

Same gun, but I ordered the blond furniture.

yeah thats the one i got, the blond wood one. They now make a synthetic one, wish that had been availible when i got mine.

no one out there has any info on a ufamd63? thanks for all the good reviews on the others though . .

UFAMD63 ..... judging by the name, it is an underfolder from a Hungarian AMD-63 kit. A "Franken"-AK if I may say, since the Hungarians never produced the AKMS ( stamped receiver folding stock ).
It should have a gas tube without a cover, metal lower handguard, a rear wood "l-shaped" grip and a forward grip of the same kind on the bottom of the lower handguard.
Kind of like this with an underfolding stock instead, right ?

I've heard mixed reviews about GT products, some love them and some hate them. Definitely a good deal $500 for rifle, 2 mags and a drum.
Take it to the range and let us know how it does.

Had an SSR-56 that was nothing but trouble. Eventually replaced with an SSR-85C-II. It's been a gem. One of the most accurate AK's I've ever seen. They used a Chinese barrel with a Euro reciever on the 56. Some worked, some didn't. The 85's I've read nothing but praise for.
