I am planning on using my G19 for production class USPSA and was wondering if I could put an extended mag release on it like I have on my G35 ? also if I can how hard is it to change that part and where would be a good place to get one. My G19 is a second generation gun no finger grooves if that makes a difference.
I use one on my G19 for IDPA. The extended release should be available from any Glock armorer or any of the online Glock sellers. TopGlock, Glockmeister, etc. Easy to change. Looking from the rear--down the magwell, use a screwdriver to move the upper portion of the spring rod to the right and up out of the slot in the mag release.
