G23 eating brass

Hey Guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but I'm not sure where else to post it.

Bought a G23 the other day and shot it today for the first time. I have a variety of 9mm - this is my first 40. Anyway, the brass comes out of the gun bent up quite a bit. The gun is functioning fine, no jams etc. I was just wondering if there is something wrong internally that is crunching up the brass so bad. Is is a sign of something to come, should I have it looked at.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

It would be easiest to tell if this is a problem if you posted a picture of some of the brass.

Were exactly is the brass being dented,crunched,bent,chewed?

If it bothers you lower the ejection port.

The brass is being bent up around the top 1/4 inch of the casing. Not serious, but definately leaving it malformed.
