I have the Nova special purpous, not the supernova, that wasn't available when i got mine. but I do love it. great gun.

I had a regular Nova SP....switched it out for a Marlin .44.


I wouldn't mind a Supernova with the collapsible stock though. But I'm in Europe now, no guns for a few years other than what the armory gives me (granted, with a choice between 3 flavors of machine gun, an assault rifle, a pistol and a grenade launcher on a daily basis, I don't get bored).

I just picked up my super nova today. I got the piston grip version with a 24" barrel Because I already have a Nova tactical with the 18.5" barrel. I got It home today and swithed the barrels. So the Supernova has the 18.5" and the Nova has the 24". I Also added a Limbsavor recoil pad and a +3 magazine ext. From looking inside the stock it looks like I can put a mercury recoil reducer for an M1/M2 in there. Maybe later I will take the recoil reducer out of my M1 tactical and see if it fits.

Now for the bad news.

It still a good shotgun but quality of the nova is better than the supernova. The finish on the supernova barrel is not as nice at the nova.

What was the damage on the Super? $$$

Just for reference, what is the difference in $$$ between the 2 in your area? Did you buy them both from the same store?
