Does anyone have the CZ 100 B? What are your likes and dislikes? How does it shoot and how is the recoil? I am looking into getting one and wanted to know how reliable they are.
Thanks

Actually, I have two CZ100's, one in each caliber. Both have been stone cold reliable. No failures of any kind. They are the best pointing pistols I have ever owned. They feel as if they were made for my hand. They are about as easy to conceal as a Glock G19. The 9mm version is very easy to shoot even with the somewhat underpowered recoil spring. I changed mine out to a G19 22# spring and it now shoots wonderfully. If you decide to go with the 40 S&W version I would recommend a 24# G19 spring. You could probably get by with the 22# spring as the barrel is ported (40 S&W only). I have an unported Bar-Sto barrel in mine and recoil was way past snappy with the factory spring. The 24# spring tames it quite a bit.
If you are looking for a great concealed carry piece, I highly recommend them. Could be the perfect carry pistol for the average person, myself included. A 13 rnd. (in 9mm, 10 in 40 S&W) DA revolver for all practical purposes. No external safeties, just pull the trigger. If you are used to shooting a DA revolver you will be right at home with the CZ100.
Some have complained about the long and sometimes less than smooth trigger pull. I found that with a couple hours of work it can be made as good as 90% of the DA revolvers out there. If you really want to work on it, the pull can rival the finest DA triggers out there. The pull will never be short but I look on the long pull as an aditional safety.
Go for it. In my opinion, there is very little downside risk. You will enjoy the pistol.
I just noticed you are in West Virginia. If you are going to be in my area in the near future, drop me and email and we can get together and shoot my CZ100's to see if you like them.
Good shooting,
mike

Thanks for the reply. I was at the gun shop today and held one. It felt good and the price looks even better at 325.00 out the door. Where are you located in Ohio? I live acrossed the river from Steubenville, Oh.
Thanks

That would be a piece down the road. I live west of Cincinnati.
That is a good price considering it is OTD. Sounds like you have a good gun shop there. How did the trigger feel to you? From what I have been able to piece together from other's posts, it seems the newer 100's have better triggers than the older ones. Just wondering.
Good shooting,
Mike

The trigger felt long but really smooth with a nice break and reset. It seems to be a good gun for the money.

I don't think you can beat it for the price. A quality pistol from a quality manufacturer for few dollars. I doesn't get any better than that.
Good shooting,
Mike
