Thanks, I have already been on that website but just lurking! I have always thought they were fantastic rifles and really like the wood stock models so I guess I will just have to have it. Probably be a week before I can get it as he lives about 250 miles from me and I want to pick it up in person to inspect it. All the Valmet76 variants are pre-ban as they stopped making them in 1986 and are hard to find for sale. The seller was in the 82nd Airborne and said they got to try many types of weapons and these were the best. Hated and distrusted the M16's but loved the Valmet's and Galil's made as AK-47 variants. Said this one shot 1 inch groups at 100 yds. when he did his part! I will try to talk him down a bit but will pay his price if needed as it is a rare find!
