I see in SGN, that J&G has these for around $140 in excellent condition. Is this gun well-made and a good shooter? Are some better than others? Help to convince me to take a chance on one of these. I am also going to look at the Yugo SKSs, that are supposed to be like new for $150. Best Wishes! Pecos Bill out.
they are great guns, i love mine. i have owned several. lots of really LOUD bang for the buck. mine was louder than a guy shooting a 44 mag on the other side of the range. helluva cool fireball too.
only down side to them is that the firing pin is rather brittle. its not a real big deal if you dont dry fire the gun. shot thousands of rounds with the original pin with no probs. they only seem to break by people dryfiring them. i know cause it seems like the shop i work at is shipping new milled hardened steel cz-52 firing pins out left and right.
i got a deal on the stainless pin i have in there now. your results may vary with the factory pin.
only other issue i have dealt with is with ammo. the new production S&B (non-corrosive) works 100%. the milsurp stuff (corrosive, but cheaper) has harder primers and sometimes requires a 2nd hit to make it go off. i have heard that stronger springs are available.

I have two of them. I like them but I don't think I would carry it for personal protection. There have been questions concerning the decocker and I don't think I would use it for personal protection unless I could find a good hollow point round. Seems like the price on them has went up. I paid $99.00 for each of mine.
J&G Sales has been advertizing CZ-52s since late last fall, but hasn't gotten any in. You can pre-order now, you won't be charged until they ship.
I pre-ordered in Jan 2006 and they were listed at $99. Aim surplus has said they expect a shipment soon, but don't have a set date.
The supply is definitively drying up.

Is their ammo hard to come by?
Natchezss.com is listing new S&B at $8-something for a box of 50. Plenty of surplus out there, but the surplus I've shot doesn't always go bang the first time.

The ammo is plentiful. Just one example.
