Just finished cleaning and taking pics for the family album. They are NOT Makarovs!! (flame retardant?) LOL!

Anyway, sent off for Wolff 16# springs in case I ever want to shoot DA trigger and I run out of steroids.
Bought a Bianchi and it seems to work well - Click (http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y234/jAK-47/?action=view¤t=P64MINEHolster1.jpg) and another pic of opposite side Click (http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y234/jAK-47/?action=view¤t=P64MINEHolster.jpg)
Range report to follow. These guns will be a nice addition as DISTANT cousins to my Baikal.380 and Ruskie Mak.

Are those the Polish Makarovs I've heard about?
Will be curious to see how the DA trigger is on yours. I've heard it is extremely heavy.

Careful with those sixteen pound springs, Jack. I've heard they may cause light strikes once in awhile. I put an 18 pounder on mine, and I love it!
So much so that I bought another one and am going to install the spring on that one this weekend.
They are superb pocket pistols! But what a bite!!

You KIDDER, you...
CAREFUL - They are NOT Makarovs (as you will find out from the flame throwers on this site). They shoot the Mak 9X18 round and some advertisers use the Makarov title loosely but they are NOT Makarovs.
Having said that, I LOVE my new P64 MAKAROVS (LOL!!) and can't wait to shoot them.
uhlawpup - thanks for the warning on potential light strikes; I'll keep an eye on that and move up to 18# on the CCW one if necessary. I wonder if certain ammo manufacturers of the 9X18 could also contribute to light strikes?
Thanks,

Mak or not, I love the P-64. I know I'll probably own one in the future.
I also am a fan of the P64. It is a great ccw piece. I dont change out the spring on mine. I just lube the side of the trigger bar. I find that with use, it lightens up to a usable pull.
If you go to the P64 forum (use google), you will find all kinds of info. I see yours has the thumbrest grips. Those were added by importers to make ATF points. They are fragile, and have a history of cracking. On the P64 forum, there is one guy making plastic grips in various colors, and another making wood grips out of different woods. I got a pair of ivory colored plastic grips that look pretty good. I will probably get wood.

JackC53, another vote for the 18# spring. I have a 16 in one P-64 and a 18 in the other. Both give a nice DA trigger but if I was going to use the pistol for carry I'd go with the 18.
The little pistol is very accurate. That's one thing it's got in common with the Mak.:)
50 yards. Standing, two hands.

The P64 is a KEEPER!!! I am a recoil WUSSY but was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy and controllability of this powerful little gun. Yes, it did sting BUT I did not find it to be punishing or "lasting" after 60 rounds. In a CCW situation if I had to use it I doubt that the recoil would be noticeable at all!
I was in a hurry to get to the range and did not bring targets BUT I managed to hit or get close to soda bottles on the 25 YARD berm; I'm going back Wednesday to shoot some IDPA targets at a more reasonable 10-30 feet. Hitting soda bottles from 25 YARDS with a gun I'd never shot before is pretty impressive, especially considering my eyes are going south. Can't wait to shoot more Wednesday. Shot some Barnaul HPs too. Not one single hiccup, even in rapid fire. My 16# Wolff springs haven't arrived yet so I didn't do too much DA shooting. I also ordered an 18# spring as well so we'll see.
I work at an FFL that allows employees to take out used guns and play so I brought a P63 along and what a POS! FTE, Jam-o-matic, and I cleaned it thoroughly. The gun looked so good and was so light I was hoping it would be a keeper at $125 out the door! No wonder a customer traded/sold it! Too bad.
OK - I'm ready to go crazy with this fantastic little P64 gun; already got a Bianchi IWB. Can I put a front nightsight on it? I've seen where some people chrome their Maks and put on Novack sights; can you do anything on the P64 besides just changing the grips? This will definitely see some duty as my carry piece some times.
Later,
