recommended optics for a keltec su16

I have just recently purchased a keltec su16. I love shooting it but the factory sights suck, no adjustment for elevation.Anyways i desided to get a red dot sight for it since it is just going to be a plinker/backpacking/home defense gun. I bought a barska 50mm red dot for it, but it just does not work good in direct light at all. Is this a common problem, should i return it and get a bsa 30mm(less light coming in), or should i abandon the whole red dot idea altogether. Any insight would be useful.

Try www.ktog.org Kel Tec owners group, lots of helpful KT owners over there. Good luck, lots of choices,just put a Tasco Optima 2000 red dot on my PLR 16 will shoot it tomorrow.:dancing:

Have you checked out keltecs web site and looked at the su-16b sights? They are metal and I believe the rear is adjustable for windage and the front is like an ar's front sight, adjusts up and down.
