View Full Version : Who makes +1/2 Mags for the G29
Came up empty on a search so does anyone make a +1 or +2 mag extension for the Glock 29. I'm not looking to put a 15 rd mag in or use an A&G adapter.
I'm thinking if throwing a 29 upper on my 30 and wondered if anyone has played around with this before.
thx

Pierce does. $7.49 each. About the middle of the page.

Pearce does indeed make a 10mm +2 adder, but it is designed for the full-sized mags. It might work on the G29 mags (I don't know), but it's not anything reminiscent of the floorplate module on the bottom of 10rd G30 mags:
Pearce Plus Two Extensions for Glocks (http://www.pearcegrip.com/glockp2.htm)
thanks for the info , I'm gonna give it a shot and report back
thx

I have several of those. They work great on my G20 mags, but do not work on my G29 mags. The follower sticks when you get about 11 or 12 rounds in it. Not fun to disassemble & fix. It appears the spring is too short & when the follower gets into the extension things hang up.
Has anyone tried this Scherer Super 2 on their G29? I'd like to have a 12+1 round mag for home defense as well.

Some have had luck simply modifying G30 magazines to feed 10mm - replace the follower, bend the feed lips....

One thing to remember is that a G29 mag with a +2 is not that much different in size from a G20 mag. I use a G29 w/ a +0 finger extension as my carry mag. My reloads are either G20 mags or G20 w/ a +2. Sometimes I just carry it w/ a G20 mag in it.

Yep thats what I figured , however I have big hands and I need an extension for a proper grip so I figured why not add 1 or 2 rds ???
The A&G grip adaptor is uncomfortable and too big thats why I'd like to add a +1/2 floorplate.
Why has'nt anyone made one yet ???
That sucks, I can't believe nobody makes them!
Scherer +2s work for me.

I use a Pearce +2 on my G29. It works very well, perfectly and is not much bigger than the Pearce +0 extension. I'll try to grab a pic of it and get back.

Thanks for the comparison of the two mags. Can you do a shot of the mag (w/ the +2 adder) in your G29?

Oh, I forgot. Those are DT 180 GD's in there. Great medicine for your neighborhood dirtbags.
Great job Los Suenos !
That pic is excellent , and gives a really good perspective. OI'm gonna try it out with my G30 and when I get my G29

That's a fine-looking piece (especially the rear night sight). I don't think I'll be changing the mags on the G30 to anything like that, but it's a great solution for the G29.
I'm not very familiar with the combinations of trigger and connectors. What does the 3.5# connector AND NY1 trigger (w/o spring) give you?
I just got my Pearce +2's and am planning to do the same. I imagine you used some stiffer springs with those?

No stiffer springs. The 29 mags use the same springs as the 19/23/32. You still have one less bullet of same diameter as the 23 mags.
The weakest link of the Glock in my experience is the stock trigger spring. I have broken too many. NY1 w/o the spring and 3.5# connector gives me the lightest possible trigger pull while still being reliable and in my experience unbreakable.
The Ameriglo's are definately my favorite nightsights now. I ordered mine from Lonewolfdist and they are do it yourself installation. They come with a tiny allen wrench for the rear and a different hex wrench for the front post. All you need is a bit of locktite.
I put the Pearce +2's on my 29 mags and they load just fine, though I haven't shot it yet, just cycled them through... :)
