I have looked at these in person, and it seems like the front sight could rotate with use. (I had Trijicons rotate with a Safariland Raptor holster) Is this a valid concern with the TFO's? Is this true? Are there any LE agencies that use these for general issue?
Another thing, I know it says on the Truglo website that the sights aren't visible to the target. When in total darkness, do you see only the three dots, or do you see the whole fibre optic tube if you aren't looking straight at the back of the pistol?
Lastly, I have heard the criticism against FO sights in that they are supposedly more susceptible to chemical breakdown. I always take great care to clean my pistols with as little chemical as possible, and I generally don't get any kind of chemical on the sights ever (I just clean the soot off with a q-tip). However, knowing a good deal about chemistry, I know that solvents do spend a good deal of time in the vapor (gaseous) state, and since this is the case, theoretically the sights could become damaged by the gas.
Ideas, opinions appreciated.
