View Full Version : is something wrong with my 37?
I apologize if this has been asked, but I searched and was unable to find anything. I just purchased my Glock 37 and took it to the range the other day. while at the range, I fired 100 rounds and the slide failed to lock back on an empty magazine 3 different times. I've never had a glock do this before. also, while loading the magazine into the weapon a couple of times, the slide was released when the magazine was inserted. my hand was nowhere near the slide release. I'm not quite sure if it's just because it's a new weapon or if there is something wrong. any input would be appreciated.

The slide releasing on it's own is somewhat normal with Glocks. Some do it, some don't.
Check the followers on your magazines for excessive side to side play towards the front of the follower. If it wiggles back and forth about a 1/4 inch, you have a bad magazine and Glock will replace it for free.
Yeah call glock they might even just send you the new followers.
The 2 mags that came with my 37 had the early follower type. I called Glock and they sent me 2 followers. No charge, no questions. Just tell them that yours came with the early follower.
thanks everyone for the info. I'm going to give glock a call. by the way, when I fired this weapon, I found it to be extremely accurate. I've owned other glocks in the past, and this is by far the most accurate one I've owned. I can't wait to purchase a 39 for everyday concealed carry. I might be able to talk the wife into it soon.
