View Full Version : Interesting makarov discovery...
I discoverd that if you have the slide locked back and you pull the trigger, even just partially, it releases the slide. However, the hammer also follows the slide and I do not know whether it woudl or would not fire, but the danger is high. Next time I shoot it I plan to test this out and lok at the primers.
This could be useful for some one handed/injured shooting.

This doesn't happen on any of my Maks. There's no connection between the trigger and the slide stop. And even though the slide stop pivots on the sear trunnion, when the slide is locked back I think the trigger is disconnected from the sear so trigger action should be isolated from the sllide stop. Sounds like something's worn.

That's strange.
I tried a couple of mine and they don't do that.
hmm, maybe I put it back together wrong.
