If you had Jay Leno cash and could by ANY car you wanted, what would it be? It doesn't have to be the latest greatest, just one you want.

Me, I would buy a

Porsche 550 Spyder - James Dean cool

http://www.supercars.net/cars/1517.html

Porsche 935 - The Moby Dick. I would even take it on the street

http://www.supercars.net/cars/2796.html

Lastly the best looking car ever IMO

Ferarri 275 GTB/4

My dream car is a 1974 Citroen DS23 Pallas the one with the turning headlights. Really, any Citroen DS is a dream car for me. I love those space ship godesses!

Kinda cliche I guess.. But I don't care :)

1970 Dodge Challenger w/ 440 - my uncle had one (dark purple with black top) when I was a kid.. left me with memories that'll last a lifetime.

1969 Camaro with a built 396

1957 Chevy

Yum :rollsmiley:

If I were to have Jay Leno's cash, I'd buy a fully restored '57 Bel Air convertible. Don't know why but I like that car. Also a Duesie convertible coupe, supercharged of course. A BMW 507 in bright red would be nice.

I do but I didn't feel like hosting them and messing with it, so I just linked it.

re: the 57 Bel-Air

That is an all time classic. I like it and I am not even a Chevy fan. I also really like the 63-64 Impalas, as does every low rider fan, though. But if I had one I would make a cool hot rod out of it (big ole crate motor, slammed, and NO hydraulics), something like Chip Foose would do.

now that we're on hot rods, I'd absolutely love a Bullitt looking mustang with all new drivetrain, brakes, and suspension

Saleen S7 TT, Lizstick. Probably one in Beryllium too, just to break up the monotony. ;) Also a Ford GT, C6 Z06, MkIV Supra BPU+, '03-'04 Terminator, several built Fox Mustangs, Ariel Atom, F350 PSD with 10" lift, R1 or ZX-10R, built 1st gen 4Runner (trail whore), and a Gulfstream IV.

Oh, and a Bugatti Veyron for a beater.

why i dont have one... yet

always had a thing for the 80s gm g bodies and the GN/Turbo-T are the best of them, IMO. I also realy like the Monte Carlo SSs also. swap a 350 in one, it should have had one in the first place, and there good to go.

There are a few, but probobly would take this one:

http://home.hvc.rr.com/doggpound/deliveryfront.jpg

24mpg, only about 3100lbs, 505hp, tons of torque from the 7-ltr engine, great handling, HUD, huge brakes.

You can hold your own with italian exotics should you meet one on a road course or you can drive to work in it every day. It looks great without attracting too much attention. And they are going for about $65,000.

Maybe in a few years when there are some well-taken care of used ones for sale I'll get one.

On second thought, I might have to go with a street legal Mazda 787b. Wonder what it'd take to get one of the 2 ever built? Be the only quad-rotor car on the block that's for sure. This has to be one of the best sounds to ever come out of a tail-pipe. Stirs the soul!

Theres a couple of companies making them with Hayabusa motorcycle emgines. A 1500cc turbo 'busa powered varient acctually held the lap record for DOT tires a the Nurburgring. A company called Radical siamesed 2 busa motors to make a 2600cc V-8 powered car that holds the record now.

I have never been much of a big muscle car guy like many of you guys. What I really would love to own is a Lexus LS430.

Big body, lots of power, lots of luxury and reliable.

I will admit than I am spoiled when it comes to cars. I work for an Acura dealer, so I get a new demo every 5700 miles. No guys, I dont get an NSX.....

Ferrari lessened the looks of the beautiful Modena 360 by giving the F430 big clumsy nostrils and headlights and taillights that are too small for the car.

The F430 has a great engine tho.

Pretty sweet. Kinda like the Ultima GTR, which I have seen real life (I was "stuck" behind one on the road in front of Indy Raceway Park during a big Car and Driver SCCA meet) and the pictures do not do it justice.

I am not trying to be an *****, but please do not knock someone else's choice. We are all different and I just want to see what are people's idea of their "dream car", I do not want to have any arguments erupting over some silly little comment (even if it wasn't meant to be hurtful). Not directing this at you as your comment was not that bad, but I just thought I would address this before someone comes in claiming that their dream car can beat up everyone else's dream car.

I am trying to keep this a fun thread as there are a billion other threads on here that one can go argue in. ;)

BTW so far there have been a lot of great choices. It is interesting to see what makes some people tick as far as autos go.
