Earlier I had posted that I would compare my two Yugoslavian 24/47's and pick the best shooter and scope it.
I shot the #6630 rifle and my son-in-law shot the rifle #244. The #244 rifle is the one with the matching Numbers and the #6630 doesn't have matching numbers.
Well, best I can tell it was a tie. My son-in-law should have outshot me using open sights simply because he is young and his eyesight is much better than mine.
Funny thing was we shot a total of 6 targets and with both rifles we had a majority of the 3 shot groups coming out with 2 of the rounds touching with one round more than an inch away.
Here is a typical target from each rifle. These groups were shot from a distance of 50 yards.
Since one rifle has matching numbers and the other doesn't and it is a tie when it comes to accuracy I will scope the rifle that doesn't have matching numbers.
Also this reinforces what I also said in an earlier post. Just because a rifle doesn't have matching numbers doesn't mean it will not make a good shooter. :)
Here is rifle #244.
