OK so pops handed down another war relic yesterday and I need some help! It's an FN Browning M1922, .380 or .32 can't tell yet. Anyway I wonder if there is a website to look up seriel numbers to determine when it was made or just for some kind of info. Everything I have found shows it with generic wood grips (or they might be plastic) but this one has black plastic grips with the trademark FN like the smaller M1910. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
if it says 7.65mm its a 32acp
if it says 9mm kurz, its 380 acp
i had owned one,
its a really well made pistol,
i would not carry it,
but in conceals really well.

The only markings on it are the seriel number and what appears to be an eagle holding a swastika in its talons.
heres a pic of your cool lookin toy.

ok if no marks on it, there is another easy way to find the caliber.
if you are 100% that it is a FN 1922, then it is either in 7.65mm Browning or 9mm Browning Short (32acp, or 380acp)
if you have a 9mm round, you can stick bullet side in the muzzle, if its a fairly snug fit, then its gonna be a 380, if its waaay to big, then you have a 32acp.
here is a link to a nice writeup on these cool looking guns, it also has annual production numbers by SN

good luck and keep us posted on what you find.

The "eagle holding a swastika" is called a "waffenamt", it means it was accepted by the German Army as serviceable and was probably issued to either an officer or rear area kind of guy, or an armed civvie Nazi official, etc. The bigger guns (Luger, Walther P38, Radom 9mm, Browning Hi-Power, etc) generally went to the frontline troops.
Look at the magazine.
.380 mags are stamped 9mm and .32 magazines are stamped 7.65.
This isn't always a reliable indication of caliber though because the 1922 design allows either magazine to be used with either caliber.

Thanks, the mag is stamped with the FN logo and 7.65!
