Any opinions on these? I was looking at AmeriGlos and they are intriguing.

I'm not a big fan of GR's on pistols as a general concept; I dont feel that they do anything better than a notch sight. The only possible exception might be for older shooters with degraded vision; I've talked to a few "old guys" who feel that they're good mojo for their eyesight. I shot a fiber optic GR on my G21 for 6 months. I found that the sights were difficult to shoot accurately, particularly at distance, and that it was never any faster. What I've found is that when ever you break a shot you loose sight of the front sight as it passes out of and then back into the ring. Since shooting fast and accurately involves good front sight focus, loosing track of it twice with each shot seems counter productive.

For a ghost ring or aperature sight to really work, the "ring" needs to be near your eye.
On a pistol it's about five inches from the front sight, which kind of defeats the purpose.
