I'm going to put half down on my new (used) G29 on Wednesday! I can't wait, a baby brother for my G20L. I got a great price, too. $425.00 for a almost new G29 w/ <200 rds, near 100% finish, no rail. I had sold my G29 a couple years ago b/c Kansas didnt have CCW. Living in MO that is no longer an issue.

Good deal. I've already decided my next will be a 29 too. I have a Ruger P345PR that I love so don't need another .45. But a smaller 10mm ... yeah buddy!!
Ed
Besides, my G20 is lonely and needs a pal. It doesn't communicate real well with my Rugers or XD. :rollsmiley: :rollsmiley:
Glock 29.... OH YEAH! Best Glock there is, in my opinion.

I have a couple 20's but just picked up a 29 awhile back, they are a hoot to shoot.
It's wierd...I have owned 17's 22's 34's 35's plus a couple XD's but....the G 29 is fun...period. Great little gun.
Did you keep the stock barrel and spring assy., or replace them and if so, what with and what was the result.
Just curious...
I like the Storm Lake barrels so well, I was thinking of putting one in it, even if I have to cut it off to length, but I don't know as it's really necessary and I am a little cautious about getting away from the feeding characteristics of the factory barrel in the 29. It is what I pack with me away from work (wish I could carry it at work, but I am stuck with Smith model 410 )
:frown:
Oh well, they bought it I didn't (read wouldn't)
Paul
The G29 is Great!
Enjoy.
ppro... I bought a KKM barrel for the 29 right from the get go... installed the KKM and never even used the Glock factory barrel. The KKM has given me excellent case support, great accuracy, and has been totally reliable. I see no need to ever use the factory barrel. Most likely the KKM will be the only barrel I'll ever use in the 29. I highly recommend KKM for the 29. They are available directly from KKM. I also installed Wolff's non captive steel guide rod and spring assembly, LWD's 3.5# connector and Ultimate trigger stop, along with Pearce grip extenders for the mags... like this, the gun is set-up as well as I can imagine a 29 can be. I love it. And if buying another, I'd set it up exactly the same way again... right from the start.

Thanks
What spring rates did you specify for the recoil springs ?
I will probably go with the Storm Lake specifically because I do like their workmanship AND they are broach cut, which I have a strong preference for. It's just a preference thing, but it's good to know that your KKM has worked so well, that speaks well for their product.
Did you find that much difference with the grip extension...contolability, comfort, speed, or....any toughness issues....duty tough you think?
Like your photography work.

thanks

Paul... I wouldn't buy a 29 unless I could get grip extenders... that's how much of a difference they make to me. On the Wolff spring kit, I went with the 19# spring, as that was what Wolff advised for general use. BTW, your son's fashion work is great.

Umm... nice glock! But I already bought one. Plus, I don't really want rails on my 29.

DHart, I just bought an EFK barrel for my new 29 and also the non-captive Wolff 19# recoil spring/guide rod combo. Do you shoot Double Tap ammo with this combo? Just got my 29 last Friday and haven't had the chance to shoot it yet .. hopefully this weekend. I've got LOTS of Double Tap to unload.

One more thing: Get A-Grip! Seriously the best $25 you'll spend on this little thing. You may find, in fact, that with the A-Grip you don't even need the grip extension....
I do so love the 29.

I ordered A-Grip a few days ago. Haven't received it yet but it looked interesting.
Ed
Crazy Ed... haven't shot DT with that combo yet, as I mostly shoot 180 grainers at about 1200-1250 fps... that's the load range I like the best in 10mm. Plenty warm but not overly sizzling.
The Brooks A Grip stuff is good, and tough. I used it on a G 35 for 3 gun comp for a couple years and the stuff made a real difference in the heat and dust. Even in the cold it seemed to work better than the bare surface and it never wore out with heavy use......good stuff. I haven't tried it on the G 29 so that would be interesting.

I'm going to try and go out Saturday with some DT 200gr XTP and also some 215gr WFNGC. Hopefully I'll get the 135gr JHP by then too. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for all the info.

Ditto that. With Agrip I found I didnt need the extenders.
+1 on the 29!! I love mine, it has become my favorite. It went and replaced the G30 as the carry.
Congrats and enjoy!

I got mine from Bethany Arms in CT. Ask for Chris Tasso. He's great to do business with. As I recall, he's got ANOTHER g29 up on gunsamerica now (now that the one I got is sold :)) and its got rails; I think its for $450.00 brand new.
Check it out... tell him Josh in Wichita referred you and thanks!
