Determine which type of front sight you have on your Glock currently as per the pic (courtesy of Butch).

1) Left pic -- remove the pin and use pliers to rotate the sight off.
2) Middle pic -- pinch together the edges of the sight and then use the pliers to rotate off the sight, will require more pressure than others.
3) Right pic -- use the front sight tool to undo the nut and then remove sight with fingers.
Do not expect to reuse the front sight after using these methods to remove them.
Use a sight pusher to remove the rear sight or tap it out left to right with a wooden dowel and hammer.
I did it it seems to be good thanks for the reply now i have to sight it in, do i do that with the site tool or just take it to the range
thanks

Usually when I change sights I just center them and then go to the range to make sure everything is good. Some people like to mark the position of the rear sight on the slide prior to removal so the new sight can go back in the same place. IMO this is not necessary, just center them and go shooting, they will more than likely be fine.
